We spent the entire afternoon in and around Jerusalem. Here is a view of The Valley of Kidron, also known as Jehoshaphat's Valley.
We then went up the famous Mount Zion so often mentioned in the Bible!
And in to the Old City through Zion Gate
Notice how riddled with bullet holes is Zion's Gate! "Let peace be within thy gates" won't be true until Messiah reigns!
We visited a museum of the artifacts that the Jews are preparing for the 3rd temple. It was fantastic and so enlightening! We learned so much about the tabernacle and the first 2 temples!
Walking down the crowed streets in the Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem.
We went to Mount of Olives to get a daylight view of the Old City. Jesus spent a lot of time here.
The Eastern Gate as viewed from the Mount of Olives
The Chapel of Tears at the traditional site where Jesus wept over Jerusalem.
The Garden of Gethsemane.
Gethsemane contains some olive trees that are centuries old! Jesus prayed here: "Not my will, but Thine". May this be my life's prayer also!
