We took pictures with some of the "poster" indians of Acre!
The trip to Brasileia took 4 hours and was "miserable" not only because the roads were bad, but because that bus had video shows of vulgar Brazilian "country" (sertanejo) playing very loudly the entire way! We went through the towns of Senador Guiomard, Capixaba, & Epitaciolandia. We were met by our dear friends Pastor William and Silvia Cruz who are pastoring the church there that was started several years ago by Lawanda's brother Stephen Doolittle.
Their house was spacious and we were very comfortable there. We enjoyed the fellowship with them beyond words. All 3 of their children are away at college so they share the loneliness we often feel. That night they took us out to eat at a Bolivian Restaurant called "Pollo" which served fried chicken, curried rice and french fries with 3 kinds of dipping sauce. It was delicious! We also saw their pictures of the recent flood that they had there. Incredible!
