Our Fourth of July Celebration

We had our annual Independence Day celebration at the Estancia Maranata (Peter Doolittle's house at our Bible Camp). There were 18 people present (all Yankees or Brazilians!): the Doolittles (4); the Duartes (2); the Limas (4); the Pintos (5); the Raehls (2) and Stephen Minion! The decor was made by the Doolittles this year with ideas from Pinterest!

The food was a delicious "American" picnic complete with grilled hamburgers with all the trimmings, hot dogs, potato salad, devilled eggs, chips, and baked beans! Strawberry shortcake with whipped cream, chocolate chip cookies and S'mores for dessert!
Lots of food, fun, and fellowship!
Even the presence of "Yankee Doodle" himself!
The kids enjoyed some noisy firecrackers. Since it was during the day we didn't have the pretty kind this year.
The best part is hearing all the kids say "The Pledge of Allegiance"; then praying for America and singing patriotic songs!
